Project Kitchen Gorgeous – It’s Demo Day!!!

Project Kitchen Gorgeous – It’s Demo Day!!!

The time of reconning has finally arrived.
It’s demo day!!!

Which means it’s time to say goodbye to the kitchen I’ve known and lovedish for 6 years…

and say hello to the start of something shiny and new that I hope will end up like the love child…

of this….

and this…

and this…

and this…

and this…

With a little bit of this thrown in for good measure…

Can I hear a hallelujah???

I’m praising all the deities I can possibly think of because yes, the final leap has officially begun…

and so begins crazy time!!!

And PS, after a marathon packing and cleaning fest, I already feel like I’ll have to invest in the kind of glassware this dude has…

No matter…it will all most certainly be worth it – I know my kitchen is absolutely going to be a dream come true…

And in the meantime, my family and I plan on enjoying life in our newly modified living room kitchen…

Even my sweet pooch Lola has seen her kitchen of sorts displaced…

The happy offshoot of moving stuff is sometimes you end up liking it better in it’s new place…the happy pile of stuff on the hallway console/desk is going to be a keeper I think.

So there you have it…we’re at t-minus one hour until peeps arrive to yank it all out and carry it away.
In the meantime, I have one hour to get myself dressed, make all the beds, and get three kids dressed/fed/to school…more crazy pants time…
 and Old Chum )

Stay tuned- I’ll be posting live action shots of the the tear down as they happen:)

Oh I can’t wait to see how your new kitchen would look like…

But with all those lovely inspirations, I’m pretty sure you’ll have a gorgeous one.

That wine glass sure reminded me of the one used by Courteney Cox in Cougar Town.

whatever you do keep a bottle of alchohol and a sedative near-by at all times….seriously if I do nothing else for you as a friend at least I can tell you that drugs and alcohol are a must during renovations. Especially kitchens. Can’t wait to see it all!!!

Loved this update… hilarious. But on a serious note, can you get them to hurry up and finish?? These updates are killing me with anticipation, waiting for the final product!
ps- I always have told clients that kitchen renos can yeild profound consequences. For instance I became a vegetarian after a major kitchen reno (long story) but I also had a client that ditched vegetarianism during a major overhaul.
Hope it’s smooth sailing for you and your lovely family. xo

You’re too funny. This is one time where it’s okay for things to get worse before they get better, and the better will be insanely beautiful I’m sure. Looking forward to your ‘action’ shots.
