I had plans to do the big #pkg unveiling today but I’m just waiting on photo permissions and since I’d rather give you the whole thing in one big gusto post, we’ll do something else for today.
In the meantime, you can:
1. back read the whole #projectkitchengorgeous #pkg story/design process/saga HERE and HEREand read Meredith’s ‘breaking it down’ post HERE.
2. enjoy this…a gift guide of sorts…really, this is just my Christmas wish list…chances of getting most of it are slim- we’re doing kids only prezzies with the family so I’ve only got hubster in my corner as it were but I’m hoping for at least a couple of these beauts…
Though I’d REALLY love that runner for my hallway (overdyed is moving somewhere else) and the grasshoper lamp for bambino’s room, what I’m crossing fingers for most (hope you’re reading this hubby…not that I haven’t told you a ZILLION times;) at the moment is the wallet (purse stolen means I’m wallet-less so this is really a need,) bust (Shop 219 carries these gigantor ones from Oly and
I’m rather obsessed with them) and KW candlesticks.
Here’s hoping:)
In other news, #projectlittlemiss is seeing more big progress this week, which leads me to a plea…please someone tell me what colour to paint this birdcage…I’ve been flipping between colours like a bad pink pong game and it’s starting to make my head hurt…
Since you might need more info…furniture colours…
Side table on the other side is pink, desk is black with pink interior, dresser is a creamy/yellow white, settee is linen and gold, chandelier is every colour.
Linens/textiles are going to be some mash up of this business…
I’m actually half thinking of just leaving it as is- I thought the iron beside iron would bug me but I like the warn finish and once I pile it full of pretty stuff…
Thoughts thank you please?
And speaking of rooms/textiles, I have some nursery stuff up for sale…email if you’re interested in:
a. Set of Serena and Lily ‘Lulu’ crib bedding…
..it includes everything in that picture as well as a bumper cover to match.
b. Dwell Studio Gio…
For this one, I have the whole set.
And finally for today, don’t forget to enter my Love ObsessedGIVEAWAY…your choice of earring goodness like this…
Can’t wait to see #PKG! But for paint on the birdcage – I would paint it the colour of the pink that you have in that Chintz throw pillow! It would really pop, a bit of neony pink, don’t you think?
Love everything you’re doing! Beautiful. As for the birdcage I think black is the way to go. It will pop against the paper and yet still allow all the pretty things in it to stand out. Plus it will help balance the heaviness of the dresser.

Nice Christmas wish list! As for the birdcage I would either leave it as is or paint is a gloss aqua like the Schumacher fabric. The room is looking lovely.
I was going to come here and ask if i was crazy to say to paint the birdcage charcoal, but then all these ladies above beat me to it! Great minds think alike!
If the client isn’t into charcoal, i would definitely go the aqua route.
Just read Meredith’s break down, and am absolutely amazed at the execution that went into the perfection that is your kitchen. What a treasure she was to work with!
Oh, stolen purse= no good! I’m sorry you have to deal with that. I’d be a mess! But that wallet would def. make up for it. Also, I vote aqua (or maybe even emerald? Patone color of the year, lady!) or some sort of bluish hue for the bird cage. Would balance out the pink and would make everything a little more cohesive, color-wise.
I’m not even going to weigh in on the birdcage debate, I’m pretty sure you *always* go with the right choice, so go with your gut, kid! (c; And bless my pretties loving heart, that list is divine! I would say the python wallet is yours for sure!
I would leave the bird cage as is, but what about tarting it up a bit by painting the hardware gold or adding a little gold detail with a gold Sharpie ( I have seen other bloggers do this and it looks great) Once it is full of pretty things it will pop off the wallpaper more. You could also give the little girl a choice of a few colours, I am sure she would be thrilled with making a “big girl” design decision if she is old enough. Good Luck
dying to see more photos of the kitchen! still can’t believe that your purse was stolen and crossing my fingers that you get that pretty number! Gold or maybe seafoam for the birdcage? I love how that space is coming together!
The colour for the birdcage is such a difficult choice. I guess it depends what you are putting in there. Maybe the accessories will be enough colour to leave it white? Although I kind of love the idea of painting it gold.
I don’t think you could go wrong with any of the colours mentioned, but I would personally paint it an orange colour. The orange would be unexpected and would look amazing with the pink and blue. Take the orange from the pillow that you have shown us.
You know I LOOOOOOVE that rug, is there really anything better? I really need to see it in real life ASAP!
As for the room, it’s looking great. The birdcage so much depends on how soft you want the room to feel. I think I’d go with Black, but that’s because I always love adding a little statement and I think it’d really pop. BUT, it totally depends on the feel you’re going for!

Posted at 11:39h, 11 DecemberHow about a deeper rose color, like the inside of the roses in the wallpaper? Or else I vote aqua or charcoal as well 🙂

Posted at 13:39h, 11 DecemberMy first thought was emerald, of course, something moody to balance out the sweetness. Black would suffice as well and look equally stunning!

Posted at 11:38h, 12 DecemberI’m going to say go with black on the birdcage, but possibly leaving the bars their original colour. Black on the whole thing might be a bit harsh.
