A Bijou Christmas Story – Scene One…and a Guest Post

A Bijou Christmas Story – Scene One…and a Guest Post

In the rush to get everything done {the shopping, the cooking, the cleaning, the wrapping etc.} I thought we could all do with a little escape.
Here’s Scene One of a Bijou Christmas Story.
To begin, meet Balthazar.
A man of intrigue.

Balthazar is currently married to Guinevere.
Mrs. B is a also a force to be reckoned with.
She has a fabulous shoe collection that is the envy of all of her friends and enemies alike.

The two are currently living in LA but are planning on moving to New York.
Here’s a few pictures of the Brownstone they just bought.

The couple will be moving in to their newly renovated home in the New Year.
At the moment, they’re still staying at Balthazar’s LA home.
Here it is.

Guinevere won’t really miss LA but will miss this amazing bathroom.

Although they plan on spending the first night of 2011 in New York, Guinevere is hoping to spend some time with her sister Elspeth over the holidays.
Elspeth currently lives in Paris.
She’s a world class photographer.

Elspeth took this fabulous photo last year for a Christmas fashion campaign.
It’s pretty brilliant.

The two sisters are a most fabulous pair.

Along with the dashing Balthazar, they always get invited to the best parties around the world.
These are some of their besties at last years soiree in New York.

Before they can even think about parties and New Year’s Eve, the stylish trio must first finish their last minute Christmas shopping.

They all like to live by this motto.

So far, Balthazar has bought this amazing piece for his lovely Guinevere.

Guinevere is a fashion designer so she loves art that is fashion inspired.
Dallas Shaw is one of her favourites.
Balthazar also hopes to add to his ladies shoe collection.
This year, he’s buying these beauties for her…
but in this colour.
He thinks they look like the ruby slippers from the Wizard of Oz…only better because they’re pink.
And as for Balthazar, Guinevere has decided to surprise him with a trip to Paris.
She thinks there’s nothing like the city of lights at Christmas.
She also thinks spending the holidays with her sister would be most delightful.
Guinevere’s already imagining coffee and brioche at her favourite wintery spot.

She’s hoping that she and Balthazar can spend a few nights in her favourite Parisian hotel.

Hotel Le Meurice is her favourite spot to relax when visiting the Gay Paree.

It’s just so decadent.

Guinevere’s also planning on staying a few nights with Elspeth.
Her sister has a gorgeous apartment and has done a stunning job decorating it for the holidays.
E is the more nostalgic of the two and loves decking the halls.
