02 Apr Saturday Shoppping - One of a Kind Favourites
A few of my favourite finds from the One of a Kind Show.
I was there yesterday with kids in tow…good times.
I’ve spoken often of my love for Biko jewelry.
Seeing the entire collection in person today literally took my breath away.
The designer( Corrine Anestopolous) of this ‘modern nostalgic’ line is beyond talented and I was thrilled to take the onyx necklace shown above home.
And the good news, Biko know has an online store so happy shopping everyone!
I practically made a b-line to the booth of Scout & Catalogue, having lusted after designer Breanna Musgrove’s wares for seemingly ever.
Her line of bags and scarves is so gorgeous…feminine and pretty in such an uncomplicated way.
I was thrilled to take the black and pink bag pictured above home with me and I can’t WAIT to use it.
Good news again, you can purchase for yourself here.
And ps, her website….to die for…love the fonts, love the photographs, love it all.
I was literally in awe of the gorgeous marbleized artwork by Robert Wu.
Each piece is hand done with watercolours and manipulated to form one of a kind designs.
I came home with the pink piece in the middle - it’s an original 18×24 piece of gorgeous and cost…wait for it….$35. Amazing!!!
I could have spent all day flipping through his designs and definitely plan on adding to my new collection.
I’m already envisioning a triptych along one of my bedroom walls.
You can see/purchase his marbleized beauties here.
These gorgeous bags by Arza are HIGH on my wish list- sadly my 2 year old was having a bit of a meltdown while I was at this booth so no purchase for me this time but let me tell you, I want, I want.
The mini clutch with the circle, it comes in snakeskin too.
The style of these bags is so chic- the shape, just so entirely modern.
This company is based out of New York and you can purchase online here.
And last on my favourites tour, but certainly not least…Cerrente.
I have to start by saying the leather in these bags…BUTTER…seriously perhaps the nicest leather I have ever laid my hands on.
I find the designs a clean take on 80s glam.
Again, I sadly had to walk away but plan on adding a vibrant cobalt blue beauty to my birthday wish list.
You can purchase online here.
So there you have it…a look at a few of the fabulously talented artisans at the One of a Kind Show.
There were obviously hundreds more but these are the 5 that really stood out for me this time.
The great thing about the show is that every time you go, there’s inevitably something new to discover.
Apparently this time, I had jewelry, bags and art on the brain- no big surprise there.
Oh and one more thing, I also forgot to mention my sold food purchase.
I came away with this collection of flavoured hot sauces made with scotch bonnet peppers called SOHOT…I literally poured half a bottle of the ‘sweet surrender’ on my Hawaiian pizza last night- delish!!!
If you are spicy fan, as I am, you have to order some of this goodness.
Happy shopping ladies and gents.
