06 Jan Gorgeously Green
It seems as though I have colour on the brain with all of my posts this week.Today, I’m tempted by green.
Emerald green to be exact.
This specific shade has been quietly seducing me for some time.
I hadn’t really realized I was quite so smitten until I opened my Christmas gifts and noticed I had inadvertently asked for a green purse…
and green boots.
And just so you know, I hate matching shoes and purses so I’m kind of annoyed that I didn’t realize I was picking all green when I made up the list but so it goes.
I’ve also purchased two pairs of greens shoes this month.
If you’re keeping score, that’s 4 emerald pretties in December alone.
On top of the fashion picks, I’ve also been eyeing green in decor…and that surprises me.
Up until very recently, I kind of hated green.
I think it’s the new vibrancy and richness of the colour that’s got its hooks into me.
I’m particularly fond of the this bold shade when its tempered with some black and white.

What about you…any green in your dreams?

Posted at 08:29h, 06 JanuaryThat green leaf wallpaper image is fantastic. I’m kinda with you Christine, never thought much of green but loving more now. (I say that and I have some “pops” -kinda hate that word- of it in my home. But I most always lean towards greys, whites, blacks, navy, pink, blue…
things that sparkle
Posted at 08:40h, 06 JanuaryI really love a rich emerald green but I cant say I have any in my house. Aside from those faux malachite boxes (have you seen?, they are gorgeous)I’ve stayed away from green in my decor

Posted at 08:55h, 06 JanuaryI am SO into this green right now! I have been collecting images for a post, but I must say you have found better ones than me 🙂 Love that lacquered coffee table, velvet chaise and the desk chair. Time to move away from the teals and turquoises..
Aesthetic Alterations
Posted at 08:55h, 06 JanuaryI have a tiny bit of green in my life-a couple of rings and a gorgeous scarf. It’s a color that can easily overwhelm me-and turn my Irish-ness into a caricature-so I’ve learned to keep it localized to accessories. Because the truth is I owned a LOT of green clothes only a few years ago. As my sister said: What was I thinking? Not chic.
It’s the color. I might as well be drinking absinthe when I’m looking at it! xo

Posted at 09:27h, 06 JanuaryOh yes. I’ve had emerald/kelly green on my brain for quite a few months now. There is something about it that is so bold, yet preppy and clean too.
I think I definitely like it in small doses best, as it does make such a pop. (No green tile bath for me!) I do love a green cabinet though!
Lovin That!
Posted at 09:31h, 06 JanuaryYou have me thinking green! I love the curtains and wallpaper. Thanks for the inspiration 🙂

Posted at 11:13h, 06 JanuaryLove this post. Every time I think of emerald green I think of a joke I have with my Mom. When I pull together something clever, she will say, “I hope she [meaning whoever we are talking about at the time] doesn’t go eco-friendly on you?!” which means “green” or “green with envy” or “way jealous!” She knows it always makes me laugh!! Posted at 14:01h, 06 JanuaryThese are yet again beautiful images! I find emerald green the most attractive in an jewel or a dress but the particular green touches in these interiors are quite fabulous. Not sure though if I would get tired of it after a while…

Posted at 15:23h, 06 JanuaryYou know what? I have never liked green in decor before, well at least in my own home, but then BAM! A couple of months ago, I had to have it! So, I purchased some green pillows. I now want to decorate my son’s room using Kelly Green accents, with black and white. Can’t wait!
