Friday Fancies - a Birthday Ensemble and a Room

It’s fancy time…

And for today’s outfit, I’ve put together something I’d love to wear to my daughter’s birthday party tomorrow.

She actually chose the skirt…while sitting beside me, she said ‘I like the pink one because it reminds me of you.”

She has as strong connection to colour and always wants things to be ‘her favourite colour and my favourite colour,” so in honour of her party, this is a red and pink outfit…not that I mind much- love these two shades together.

The party is a princess art theme so I needed something that would pass Scarlett’s pretty test (hence no pants/jeans) but could still be comfortable enough to play around with/help a bunch of five year olds…no high heels etc.

So, here’s what I came up with for the soiree.

In my dream world , I’d love to eventually give her this room as a birthday present but with the giant kitchen overhaul, I think we’re looking at birthday #6, or maybe even the one after that…lucky 7s…we’ll see.
